We have reached an altitude of 2800m today which means that we now have eye contact with snowy 7000 m peaks. These mountains are so big that you really have respect for challenge climbing them. This morning when I woke up I thought I saw the peek of one of these giants. When I looked a bit more I could see the real peek above the small clouds. Tonight we established our camp with 12 tents. The temperature is around 5 degrees now. It’s a marvelous place just next to river. We still trekk through tropical forests that are very old. During the trekk today we walked through a landslide area due to the earthquake. It’s amazing to see the power that nature sometimes has.
The plan tomorrow is to get above the 3800m altitude.
